About The Empowering Partnership

The Empowering Partnership is a not-for-profit association committed to personal and spiritual development. It organises workshops, courses, programmes, talks and meditation sessions, and also provides personal support to individuals. It is based in Laparade (47260), France.


President: Akasha Lonsdale

Akasha Lonsdale-Deighton

Akasha is a mentor, psychotherapist, Interfaith Minister and author of How to do life: powerful pointers for powerful living (2004) and Do I Kneel or Do I Bow?: What you need to know when attending religious occasions (2010). She has specialised in Emotional Intelligence and Stress Management, with a background in senior HR management and with wide business experience.

Her style is lively and stimulating. She is a strong, clear communicator, being both insightful, perceptive, empathic and supportive whilst remaining focused and direct. Her programmes and seminars are highly motivating and she has been effecting powerful change in people’s lives for the past 30 years. Akasha contributes to both local and National BBC Radio/TV, and she is a regular faith guest with Aled Jones on his BBC 2 “Good Morning Sunday” show.

Secretary and Treasurer: John Gloster-Smith

John specialises in leading highly facilitative workshops and he delivers retreat centre personal development programmes, working from a Transpersonal perspective. He also provides personal support and coaching to individuals. He is author of Connecting to Inner Peace (2010).

John has a background of 25 years in facilitation, coaching, training and organisational consulting and was previously in education to a senior level. He has trained in Gestalt Therapy with Metanoia Institute in London and in Transpersonal psychology, Person-centred Therapy, NLP and CBT. He is a member of the Association for Coaching, a Master NLP Practitioner and a Master Results coach. He holds a BA Honours and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from Oxford University.
